Dr. Hsiung was born and raised in Taiwan and has lived in the US for advanced trainings. She has an interdisciplinary background in Nursing, Psychiatric-Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, Medical Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, and Oncology Social Work. As an educator, researcher, therapist, and supervisor, she engages in social location dialogues in and outside of the classroom, and nurtures and mentors students and professionals with diverse backgrounds to develop their personal and professional voices.
