  Prof. Chen has close to 25 years of experiences in venture investment, corporate strategic planning, business consulting and operation. He has founded more than 10 start-up companies in industries including technologies, advanced materials, internet, media and digital contents, green energy, and long-term healthcare.
Prof. Chen is the Adjunct Professor at Department & Graduate Institute of Business Administration, College of Management, National Taiwan University; Visiting Professor at Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS), Kyoto University, Japan; Co-PI (Principle Investigator) in International Collaboration of Program for Translational Innovation of Biopharmaceutical Development-Technology Supporting Platform Axis, Academia Sinica, and he is also the President of NTNU Innovation Investment Holding Company, a University Venture Capital.
 
  Prior to his academic careers, Prof. Chen served as the Chief Investment Officer for Acer Inc., Acer’s corporate venture specializes in technology-driven investments in Taiwan, USA, Europe, Japan, and Mainland China. Before Prof. Chen advanced his career at Acer, he was the Associate Vice President in Strategic Investment at Asus Computer. Prior to Asus, he also joined Japan Nomura group’s venture capital arm, JAFCO Investment as Assistant Vice President.
 
  Prof. Chen received his Ph.D. in Information Management and MBA., both from the College of Management at National Taiwan University, and his Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA. Prof. Chen can speak in Chinese, English, and Japanese.
