  Dr. Sue-Huei Chen is a professor of the Department of Psychology, National Taiwan University (NTU). She received her B.S. and M.S. in psychology from NTU and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Emory University, U.S.A. Currently, she is a licensed clinical psychologist in Taiwan, seated at the Board of Directors of the National Science & Technology Center for Disaster Reduction (NCDR) as well as the Advisory Committee for disaster prevention or mental health related governmental organizations. She has also served as an associate editor of the Chinese Journal of Psychology, the President of the Taiwan Association of Clinical Psychology (2015-2017), and Head of Socio-Economic System Division of NCDR.
 
  Dr. Chen’s major areas of research include disaster and trauma psychological studies (e.g., cognitive correlates of PTSD & PTG), depression in cultural context (e.g., stigma, rumination, attachment, reassurance-seeking), Internet addiction and psychological health in adolescents, non-verbal emotions (facial and prosodic emotion), and coping with chronic illness (e.g., psychological resilience, family resilience, dementia care, post-surgery care of women with breast cancer). She has also developed several instruments for perceived psychiatric stigma, Internet addiction, smartphone addiction, etc.
