My research concerns neurobiology of learning and memory, focusing on the neural mechanism underlying emotional memory. My lab exploit rat models combined with drug infusion, physiological recording, biochemical assay and brain imaging to understand the role of limbic system and cortex in formation and operating fear memory. My lab is also involved in certain cooperative studies on brain mechanisms of human memory consolidation and cognitive processing in people with unique talents.
