Professor Chiu is currently the clinical professor of National Taiwan University and chief of Health Management Center of National Taiwan University Hospital. He is also the deputy secretary general of Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan and Councilor member of Digestive Endoscopy Society of Taiwan.
Professor Chiu’s major research and clinical interest includes colorectal cancer screening, enhanced endoscopy (IEE) of colorectum, and endoluminal therapy (EMR/ESD) for colorectal neoplasm. He is currently the principal investigator of Taiwanese Nationwide CRC Screening Program and the Colonoscopy Quality Assurance Project. He is also the member of Asia-Pacific Working Group on Colorectal Cancer, Asia NBI Group (ANBIG) and actively participates in several multi-center cooperative studies in this area.
